Can you link to a Bluetooth headset to the same phone or computer?

I have a Bluetooth head sets connected to my iphone, so you can hear music in both ears instead of one. I hate to use wired headphones, so you can make a purchase bluetooths (preferably apple one) and link them both to my iphone or MacBook? Does the sound come from both the earphones?
